Juicy Gyalz is a collective of African and South American dances created in 2017 and regularly performing at events or festivals. In their approach of development and professionalization, it was important that they have a logo corresponding to their identity and that is quite easily declable on clothes or posters.
So I brought my expertise and my know-how to give them a logo with the different elements they wanted to keep (traditional loincloth, pineapple ...), combining them with strong colors and vector shapes that are easy to decline on any support.
The pattern of loincloth is inspired by the Mozambican "Capulana" that I colored by using the trio green-yellow-red very present in the African cultures. The font is an improved version of TypoGraphica that I have vectorized and modified.
